Real joy

I love cycling but now have a damaged knee so had to give it up, the L20 has not only got me back on the saddle but it's an absolute joy to be on. Very well thought out and built, steady but exiting. The fat tyres give plenty of cushion and grip. I can really recommend this model for short trips or full days out using the front and back racks for supplies. Thanks ENGWE !!

Super impressed with the L20

I'm a bike courier so I wanted something robust enough to give me reliability and be a workhorse to get my deliveries to my customers. The L20 fits the bill in so many ways. Because it has racks both front and rear it is ideal for carrying whatever I need and because I also carry a large backpack being a step through makes it so easy to get on and off without disturbing my delivery (most important when carrying food). I found that the seat would move even with the quick release clamp as tight as I could get it so I changed it to a none quick release clamp. I also got the additional 16Ah battery because I do a lot of miles, this way I'm never caught short as I can charge one while I'm using the other. From someone who demands a lot from my bike I can tell you that my experience with the L20 has been one of enjoyment because it gets the job done.

Absolutely brilliant

Great service from Engwe. Kept updated all through process of buying to delivery.
Love my green L20, pleasure to ride this great quality machine. The L20 has surpassed my expectations, saving up now to upgrade battery to the 16Ah as 13Ah while ample and gives great
range eventually runs down. Think the 16Ah would make the great bike outstanding.

Great Bike, 'But...'

The Engwe L20 is fabulous.... it gets plenty of attention when I'm out and about on it, no doubt due to its rugged looks and khaki green colour.

The fat boy tyres are great, especially if on slightly rougher surfaces... but.... my only gripe are the brakes. I'm just not convinced by the stopping power of mechanical brakes for a 40kg bike with a 70kg person onboard.

Don't let the brakes put you off this L20 though, as upgrade options are available to improve this, and if you're just pottering along at 10-15mph they're fine. All in all, just a great, good-looking machine.
